Been there at least a dozen times. I could spend a lifetime there. Are you doing an all-inclusive? We stay in Playa del Carmen at a place right on the beach on the north end of Fifth Avenue.

Yup, we stay at a place called the Barcello Mayan Palace - all inclusive. My personal favorite is their Brazilian steak house restaurant. They just keep shaving meat off these skewers at your table all night long. And when you go to the buffet they have a guy sitting there grilling steaks and shrimp. There was one night last year where I had 3 steaks in a night.....it was pretty gross in hindsight lol.

Don't forget that off the coast is the home to some the biggest most aggressive Great White sharks on planet earth too.

I was swimming in the gulf and seen fins in the water right in front of me. I swum my ass back to the beach and haven't been in the ocean ever since.

It is easy to photoshop old pictures because they are grainy and not HD so the hoaxers don't need to worry about details. By the way, if the dorsal fins of smaller sharks leave a turbulent wake that can be seen, then I'd expect a shark that large to leave a very visible wake.

Oh yeah, and according to that fake pic the shark is 64 feet from dorsal fin to tail, megalodon is only around 55 feet long from nose to tail.

Exactly, I expected the SportsHoopla eyes trained for fakes would say what I thought as well. They showed that pic a couple times on the Megalodon special and kept mentioning the species as "100 feet long." I've never heard the extinct shark ever mentioned longer than a school bus or so.

I watched it late last night and it was pretty stoopid. A boat sunk off S. Africa was hit by a surfacing whale I'd assume...not a prehistoric shark.

Man, when I was a nerdy little kid, I used to look forward to this week all summer because there were tons of cool shows with interesting facts. Now it is just sensationalist garbage.

Sharks are incredibly fascinating. You do not need to spice them up.
