Any thoughts on the new Mariners skipper?

He has zero managerial experience at any level, but he does have a history with DiPoto in LA. Seems like the point of this hire -- no matter who it was -- was going to be a guy with no chance to buck up to DiPoto like Scoscssocsoia. Meh. Think I would have preferred McClendond for another year.

I like the hire. New young blood.
If you have played baseball and understand the game, like Servais has done, then I don't believe you need 'experience' at a different level.

Coaching Football or basketball is tough, but baseball, c'mon.

Old school McClendon for another year, no way.
