Maybe it's because I'm a Flames fan and despise the Oilers, but I don't understand this thinking. The NHL is a collection of 32 club teams, the Oilers are not representing Canada anymore than the Stars are representing the States. I mean, do you think Manchester United fans were rooting for Manchester City to win their 4th straight Premier League title this past weekend?!?

I'm not trying to tell you who to root for, if you like the Oilers, cheer them on, I just don't subscribe to the default position of because they're located in Canada and are the last Canadian based team in the playoffs that we as Canadians need to cheer for Edmonton. Nah, it's not going to happen lol.

I do not understand Lukes take here. He is supposed to be a professional and honestly the way he goes off here is incredibly unprofessional. He even took shots at PK Subban. I get he is an oiler but honestly his attack here is pretty weird. It not like he is Mike Commodore who doesn't have a analyst job, this guy is on the main stage in Canada and is absolutely off the rails here. and to say the Oilers dusted the canucks when they barely beat us using a 3rd string goalie and missing Boeser in game 7 is really the worst take of it all.

Seravalli has been doing the same thing on Flames podcasts as well asking if they are rooting for the Oilers to win the Cup. It was funny when one of the guys turned it around and asked Frank (longtime Flyers fan) if he cheers for the Penguins when they are in the Stanley Cup final. Frank was noticeably silent and didn't answer that question.

Luke is one of the main reasons I hated this playoffs more than any year I have ever watched. the bias that came for Edmonton tainted any enjoyment I could find. It doesn't help the Canucks absolutely blew it by the way they played in game 6 and 7 but I still should have enjoyed that run and I didn't at all. I can take non media ex players bashing the team but not when the media Covering the game is so blatant in the hate for Vancouver. (I am also look at you Ron) It must take every level of restraint for Bieksa being on that panel

I think the bottom line for me is don't go on somebody's show or podcast and say one thing or have glowing praise only to go on another show and say the complete opposite. I mean, do you think that's not going to get back to people in the market that you're ripping?!? Once that happens, you lose all credibility as it shows how disingenuous you can be.
