They could boatrace Clempson, but tOSU is playing complimentary football...or they had until yesterday, Michigan really threw it around the yard. I was surprised.

This is just my observation as I've watched multiple games of each of these 3 teams.

Feel free to have your own.

They may have thrown it all over but 18-43 for 305 is not good. Barely 7 yards per attempt. If you throw the ball 40 time 300 yards should be doable by any P5 team with a pulse. Michigan isn't great, but they are a good team.

LSU and OSU are both in unless they get utterly destroyed next weekend, and that won’t happen.

Hell yeah they are in with a loss. Who's better?

They may drop in seeding, but the previous five CFPs have shown us that really doesn't matter. Three #2 seeds and two #4 seeds have won.

Truthfully should LSU lose they may be out. Or will committee pretend they don’t value conference championships?

Win or lose LSU should and will be in the playoff. Is the game meaningless? No way, LSU is playing for seeding. They lose they likely fall to #4, as the committee isn't going to have them at 2 or 3 to have a rematch vs Georgia as UGA would likely rise to 3 with a win, so to avoid an immediate rematch they'd make sure place LSU and UGA accordingly.

So LSU falls to #4 and has to play Ohio State in round 1. I am sure LSU would prefer to get either Clemson or whoever #4 is in round 1.

Is LSU playing in the 1v4 CFP game regardless of the outcome of the SECCCG?

I think it would stink if LSU beats Georgia and has to play them again in the playoffs. A win should guarantee them another team, even if the game is close.

LSU would be relying on the goodwill of the committee and them using the eye test. They could very well have 2 P5 1 loss teams be conference champs. You’re saying they’ll get in over them? That’s a risky proposition, specifically if one of those teams is Oklahoma.

If LSU beats UGA in the sec c'ship game, it will guarantee that they WILL NOT play UGA again. If UGA loses, they're out.

Nah. Its not a must win but really a should win. It's a defacto playoff game so if they lose, they lose to a playoff team. Say Utah, Ohio State, Clemson and r*pe kick the shit out of their opponents this weekend and LSU is a close but obvious loss to Georgia. Thats 4 convincing wins with 2 undefeated teams. Georgia is a conference champion so they are 3rd in. 4th spot is between 3 teams, 2 won convincingly and the other lost to a playoff team. They are SEC but the other two options now have better resumes and draw more intrigue/viewers to the playoff.

Most likely chaos doesn't happen but they need to win to remove all doubt.

Even if they’ve already punched their ticket, conference championships still mean something, to me at least.

LSU should be out if they lose. This is a playoff game. Give #5 a chance to prove they are the best team.

They won't be out, but they should be out.

No, they still have to win in order to not be told "should have won". Win and in, so still important to win.

I think Ohio State is the only one that could survive a loss. They have been dominant all season long. They are also number one and would need to fall the furthest to exit the playoffs.

LSU would lose their playoff spot to Uga. Yes I know Georgia is already in a playoff spot but the SECCG is a play in game.

Clemson has a weak schedule and has some ugly games and would have a bad loss to a mediocre at best Virginia.

Yes, I think OSU can withstand a loss and still be in at #4, considering their resume and eye test.

I think LSU could withstand a loss and still be in at #4 as well though. Ditto on OSU's reasoning.

Clemson, if they lose, pretty sure they'd be out. Then Utah and Okla are in assuming OSU and LSU win.

GA, If they win, I'd probably put them at #3, and LSU at 4. GA loses I think Utah is in if they destroy the ducks. Oklahoma, tough spot. They would have to win like OSU vs. Wisc. in '14 B1G champ game - 59-0..... if Okla and Utah both win by 20-30 pts, Utes are in imo.

only way okla gets in is if they win big like 59-0 and the ducks win a tight game or of course a loss.

Last, I don't see LSU retaking #1 on a tight or even average win. They'd have to win huge AND hope for OSU to have a lackluster win. This year, I do see a huge advantage in being 1 vs. 2.........

sorry. no way. As long as LSU doesn't get blown out, and lose by 10 or less, they should be in. Comparing their loss to the utes, sooners, etc......

yea, that happens when chase young was held most of the game and refs look the other way........ in the interest of keeping the game from getting out of hand.
