So you got some guys personal power rankings.

And they are shit.

Louisville #3? Washington ahead of Michigan? USC ahead of Clemson? etc.
...better than yours.

At least we outscored LSU tho.

So we got that going for us. Which is nice.
Bama loves them some cajun cooking. We especially love cajun tiger slow roasted over 4 quarters. Always a special game when we play them boys. Especially when they talk shit before the game.

I don't know much about Vegas rankings etc., other than they are based on who would be the favored teams on a neutral field. I only know this much because I heard some guys on a sportstalk show I listen to talking about it.

I got curious and found this:

Sports Betting News and Vegas Odds

Don't know how legit it is and it has USC ranked a good bit lower than the ones socaljim posted. But it also has USC ranked ahead of every SEC team not named Alabama.

Alabama beat the team that your team just lost to 52-6.

BCF Toys - Degree of Difficulty

The likelihood an elite team would have a 10-0 record on Alabama's schedule is 21%, 5% for a very good team, and 3% for a good team.

The next best degree of difficulty is Clemson with 61%.

You're REAL mad.
I don't think jon1tanman is "REAL mad". He is just stating a fact. The SEC is down this year. Beside Bama, the SEC is just good to average this season.

See your logic is flawed. You are assuming most bama "fans" on this board actually go to games or have been to a game. They don't care.
I would say 99% of the fans on here have been to a game. And most do care, until this whining starts. Saban is on record for a 9 game in conference schedule. He likes the idea and brings it up every year. He is one vote and only one. Cant change the situation, play whats dealt you.

USC is probably the 2nd most talented team in college football right now, or maybe 3rd behind Ohio St. But your fellow fan is a bit off on his claims.

Actually, the guys I listen were saying pretty much the same thing jim said. Maybe they were using the same rankings? I don't gamble, so I really don't know. I only got curious because I had no idea Vegas even ranked teams.

USC is definitely playing well and I agree we have frontline talent that's on par with anyone in the country, including tOSU and Bama. We don't have the depth that we need to win against tOSU or Bama though. Probably why a lot of "experts" are starting to say that USC can beat any team in the country right now except those 2.

I don't know if I buy that last sentence entirely, but I'd like our chances against just about anyone else.

I'm not doubting you on Saban wanting 9. But a few gumps on here said playing an 8 game conference schedule is no different then playing a 9 game schedule. Then when they are called out, the non gumps are called whiners and butthurt.

Its a guy running the books at a Vegas casino whos list is similar to others and the sharps in Vegas. You can put your head in the sand all you want but these guys make money doing this.
Next time don't ask for something you don't want to see.

Because they are never wrong?

What was the spread on Louisville vs Houston this week?

True. If you don't actually have to go the trouble of paying for tickets , parking, food, and spending your saturday you don't really care what cupcakes they play as long as after the game you can jump on the message boards and say how good your team is.

You ever been to vegas? They are right more than most and how do you know where the action was. they might have made a ton on that game. You're confusing who they think should be favored and what they posy the line at so people will bet. I'm just telling you who they think are strong bets. Now they could put the line where they want to get the most action on both sides.

Gotta disagree here. I don't think USC wins. In fact, I think it's still a double digit loss. But I don't see another 52-6 clownstomping either.

Our offense is completely different with Darnold, he's not the statue that Browne was. Also our defensive front 7, while still thin, is much better than they were when we faced Bama. Guys have just started completely grasping Pendergast's system over the past few weeks.

We were in the game for most of the 1st half against you guys and then the roof fell in. If I were picking the game today...I'd say we're in the game through the 3rd quarter, but Bama would pull away in the 4th and win by 14-17 points.

yeah most of your "SEC" fans bought the T-shirt at the local Wal-Mart, and spend saturday listening to the radio in the doublewide while screaming "roll tide" , "war eagle" , "geaux tigers" , "go gatas" or butchering a classic bluegrass song at the top of their lungs after some mercenaries disguised as "student athletes" showcase for the NFL

Got married in Vegas.

USC has improved over the year, but not to the degree being claimed.

The thing is - our team has improved since then as well.
