Well it actually is... So theres that The B12 gets shit ratings because they have a shit TV deal. The P12 gets shit rating because they have a shit TV deal AND they are on at like 5 in the morning, the AAC gets shit ratings because they have a shit deal AND no one knows what the AAC is, the ACC has a shit deal too. The B10 does OK but would do better ratings wise if they had their old deal with ESPN but theyd lose a boatload of cash that they get from the B10 network. SEC is pretty much guaranteed the best rankings for the foreseeable future because they are the only conference with HUGE tie ins to a basic channel CBS and the primary sports related network in the world ESPN. ND does well because of their deal with NBC and because any game not on NBC has to be a primetims game on another netwrok. Not that tough to figure out. Of course the SEC got those deals because of their success so there is something to be said for watching a great product but if the B12 ( or any other conference not named the AAC ) had the SECs TV deals they would be the most watched confernce

I am not sure I follow you ... so, the SEC is not dominant because people like to watch their games ... they are dominant because they can score contracts with networks that just happen to be in the business of obtaining games that most people like to watch. Seems like were are back where we started.

Do you really think that CBS and ESPN spent their billions of dollars and said, "we know more people would watch Iowa and the B1G play, but we'd rather have SEC games on." Because that is what you appear to be saying.

Yeah... Thats why we said that. Still doesnt change the fact thats why the TV ratings are higher. If CBS and ESPN primarily broadcast the ACC the ACC would have the highest ratings.

You can't be this dense ... can you tell me exactly why it is that CBS and ESPN don't primarily broadcast the ACC, but instead broadcast the SEC (assuming that is true ... I really don't know for sure)?
