I mean, some people call the 'Flames' the 'Flamers" (also Flamer fans) which I'm sure bothers some people (I just laugh it off). Also, as soon as we heard that Kraken was in the running, the Krakhouse and Krakheads jokes started. It's not as if they didn't have plenty of time to choose another name.

They took 4 times as long to finalize this name as Vegas did with theirs and Vegas was dealing with possible copyright issues.

Further, we were hardly the only ones making “Krakhead” etc. jokes about this name long before yesterday. It is likely to stick.
