So who is your solid tackle? If we stay at 36 I would think it would be Morgan.

I like Morgan, but Logan Paulsen questioned his toughness on a pod last week. I'm not going to pretend I'm smart enough to distinguish these tackles from each other.

I'm speaking more in generalities. If there is a run, they should look into trading up, or if a tackle that they have super high on their board is there in the late teens, I would want them to go get him.

Exactly! Don't be afraid to trade up to get your OT. On the draft trade chart does 36 and 40 get you in the early 20's? im not sure which trade chart is used today

I am not packaging 2. Second round picks to move up and watch talent fly off the board till round 3 .

I don't pay that chart much attention anymore. Says we could get about 13 or 14 I think.

There was a bidding war for Sam according to Schneider of the Seahawks. Said they were sweating.

If the rookie QB isn't ready or the OL situation isn't right they'll put the #2 QB in there as cannon fodder to achieve what he can short-term. Management preferred Mariota as an experienced 'unfavourable situation' QB to putting Howell out there. Mariota doesn't have developmental potential but they don't want that from a #2 when they have a highly prized rookie QB. They want the slightly better immediate performance. Additionally Mariota will be expected to mentor the rookie, and Howell doesn't have the knowledge or experience to do that either. It is what it is. I'm sad to see Howell move on. It's a fail for him and the franchise, but not every prospect succeeds in a tough situation or does so within such a short time frame.

Mariotta cant be counted on to start, and if he does start, he’s a significant downgrade from Howell.

All this ^^^^^^^°^^ Sure the 3rd pk is cool n all, but not near as cool with the Skins giving more than they are getting. And while I'm not as sold as chiller about Howell being an NFL starter. I do like the kid n he has the necessary skill set as a passer. It's more a question of did Riverboat n EB fuck his head up too much? Or can he overcome the case of the yips he developed playing behind a turnstile OL. With no commitment to a running game whatsoever n find his moxie again.

It's not a bad low risk high reward move on the Skins part. It's just a better low risk high reward move for Seattle.......imo. I was hoping we'd seen the last of these deals.

And like chiller says, if Howell does overcome the shit show he was cast into outta college. Cuz for a hot minute he did look legit. I wish him well.
