some people will have you believe the defense won't be so bad; however, I am a realist. That defense is worse than last years epic mess.

Damn. I was on the road when I heard the news. My condolences to the Rams fans out there. From the outside looking in, they are building a good team. Unfortunately, they will have to wait on getting franchise QB. I don't think it's Bradford anymore.

Been a Rams fan since 1967 and this is a pretty low moments for all of us. But Hill is a veteran and can win game. He has some people around him now. I am sad for Sam. He had some great talent. But the Rams paid him well and he will be fine. I think his career is done....maybe a backup one day. But this is it....

I feel for the guy as well...as a football player...he should be fine as a civilian.

Not sure if it's the end of the world for the Rams though because they played so many games w/o Bradford...go with Hill...he knows the system...Mallett, Cousins, etc. are not going to come in and do much better if at all. If Hill struggles I think you look at trading for a guy like Mettenberger...if he's not the starter in TN by then.

I totally agree and so does Fisher, ATL96Steeler. Fisher is going with Hill and we shall see what transpires but the year isn't trashed just yet!

Its not the end of the world but its looking at another 7-9 season. The general hope is to want your team to improve after rebuilding and now the Rams are left with the realization that they rebuilt everything but the QB

Looking at the schedule, you might be right...MIN, @ TB, DAL is not that tough on paper though...you start 3-0 and you never know.

Honestly idk much about Hill, know he was in DET, but he played okay in the 1 season he started a number of games...but you don't think he can manage a reasonably mistake free game and make a few plays?...that DEF is awfully tough.

Horrible news. Bradford was looking pretty good in the preseason. Hill was a serviceable backup for years. With your defense, if Hill can manage a turnover-free, ball control offense, you may be ok. If not, maybe you can pull old grey beard, Kurt Warner out of retirement. I bet he can still deliver.

Tough break. Ram fans deserve better.
