Honestly i could see him riding off into the sunset at his age too if not for two factors.

1. He just signed a multi year deal that was not necessary if he had intended to do so, he was already under contract for several years as it was.

2. The boosters bought Saban's house and paid it off and he is allowed to live there as long as he wants.

Not many places left in this world that show that kind of appreciation for a job well done.

My conversation with a poster on his comments was not damage control, it was stating why i think it would not happen.

Frankly if he decided to leave, then so be it. We have had several good years due to him and i could see the line to be the next HC at Alabama(as loaded as they are currently) being a long line that would encompass some of the biggest names in the NCAA coaching ranks. Might even have a few NFL coaches wanting the job themselves. Honestly though, I would be shocked if Saban did decide to leave based on my comments earlier.
