So do I understand this correctly? If the QB muffs the snap but picks it up right away, the offense can't advance the ball? If so, that's really nonsensical. And I can think of several other seemingly stupid situations. Seems like a very poor rule change.

Already went over that and, for the purposes of this convo, that would definitely be an exception to the rule.
