This is another one of those situations where a player signs a deal that looks great at the time but after a couple great seasons decides he's worth more that his contract is paying him. It's just like the Kam Chancellor situation in Seattle last year, only I doubt Gronk holds out. I do agree that when you compare him with what other top paid TE's are getting he is grossly underpaid, but that is the deal he made.

I would support a Gronk holdout... Only if PIT is scheduled to play them :heh:

Maybe the Pats need to start using some of the Broncos salary cap tricks?

Then he shouldn't have signed a long term deal, his choice.

Nothing. But they did chest the cap.

No denying they did something wrong. 49ers did the same thing so not sure why the Broncos are your example. Just seems like every chance you get to bash the Broncos you take it.

It was a good deal for both. The Patriots get Gronk when healthy and Gronk gets paid when he's not healthy.

I doubt he does anything more than that.

The way he plays, he might only have a season or two left.

He probably deseves a raise. He makes a average QB look like a HOFer

Sure same with Jimmy Graham He looked great because of Wilson

Looking at the contract now. What a sucker deal on his end. Small signing bonus, small total guarantees, and it eats up his prime years.
