Head coaches in college have no one to blame but thyemselves. They are the final yes/no on recruits and if they don't put a ton of effort into trying to get kids to commit in their Junior year of HS, then Alabama, USC and Notre Dame will get them as a senior.

There's an OL at St. John's Prep in Mass. who's parents live in Portsmouth, NH. He was recruited by SJP when he was in the 8th grade. He's 6'6" 325 lbs and has a 34" waist. Every Div. I school in the country has already made a full scholarship offer to him and he's only a junior. Oh yeah, he's been all-state since he was a freshman and he plays left tackle.

He's having a hard time deciding between Alabama, Miami and Boston College.

What are your thoughts on Mel Tucker?

I like him. Good x's and o's coach that our defensive players love, not much of a recruiter though. He's also linked to the Maryland job, but UNC would be a far better job for him.

New England talent kinda sucks. I'd pass.

No worries he will probably be an assistant to Saban like all the other fired coaches.

Hey Man, Yep it appears that Fedora lost a game he had to win to keep his job.

Congratulations to your DEACS with the way they finished their season by taking out both NC State and Duke as a big road dog in both games.

thanks!

great end to the season for sure. early on it was looking like this was going to be a 4-8 year for the Deacs, but the team never quit fighting.

Defense slowly, but surely improved after the DC got canned following the Notre Dame game.

Deacs are technically state champs :suds:

it's actually pretty terrible. however, when there is a good prospect from up there it is typically an OL.

The most overrated tight end in UGA history was out of Massachusetts. Arthur Lynch.

remember that. he was originally committed to BC, but then switched his commitment to UGA.

tbh, the only good HS football states in the northeast are PA (mostly western PA) and NJ. Everything else is pretty terrible.

Fedora would be perfect for any opening in the Big XII since his entire time at UNC he thought defense was optional.

MACK BROWN + Gene Chizik + Kliff Kingsbury

That would actually work really well for them.

MACK does his CEO thing and handles the boosters and sech during this chaos period.
He is great at being the head honcho schmoozer.
He doesnt really do that much coaching as much as macro decision stuff.

Chizik runs the defense.
Kingsbury runs the offense.

Let one of them take over when Mack steps aside.

Mack Brown rumors definitely have some traction. All of Texas, the HS coaches are getting excited at the prospect of Mack's brunches making a comeback.

That would be amazing. But, has the potential to flop huge if kliff leaves after a year to be a HC. But that’s the only way i would support bringing Mack back, with coordinators like that. I have a hard time believing Chizik would come back

Although UNC paying all 3 of those guys, while they owe Fed $12 mil is a big check for a school that doesn't give a fuck about football.
