He'll still be the number 1 back taken, but it might scare away teams picking in the top 10.

I think the question is who wouldnt be interested in him? He's clearly one of the best players in the draft. I could see Cleve, TB, WAS, BUF, KC, and NYJ seriously taking him. I dont see him making it past the Jets (even with Shonn Greene who is nowhere near Richardson). Plus, if he does start to drop some team will move up to snag him. I just dont see a guy who is that good falling that far.

All those teams have too many other questions elsewhere to take a RB. No way he goes top 10. BUF doesn't need one at all, neither does KC. The Jets need to much on D to take him. I honestly see no team ahead of us that really needs him. RB's fall in the draft. It happens all the time. They just aren't picked as high anymore. Plus their are some pretty damn good RB's in FA this year. Reedy keeps saying that if Oakland doesn't franchise him we are going to make a play on Michael Bush.

I don't caqre how injured McFadden is, I would never franchise a backup RB. To us he would be a Number 1, but to Oakland, he will never be anything more than a #2 with McFadden there. They can get a #2 in the draft or free agency that would cost considerably less.

I am not being a dick to you unless Bush being franchised by Oakland was your idea to start with. If it is a dumbass reporter, then that is who I am kinda being a dick to. As there is no way in hell Oakland franchises a backup RB and makes him higher paid than the starter and paid in the average of the top 5 RB's, and that has to be in the $12 million or more range?

The reporter is blowing shit out of his ass, as there is no way Oakland will franchise a backup player. If he was a starter, that would be a different story.

$12 million fills a lot of holes on that team that needs a decent amount of help. Just saying, they can report it all they want, not going to f'n happen.

I agree, and if anything, if Richardson is falling past 10, there may be a lower round team willing to trade up to get him if they need a RB pretty badly. So if he falls out of the top 10, someone will be trading up to nab him before 15.
