Rice over Rutgers for Big Ten Membership

Honestly, I'd rather have Rice in the Big Ten over Rutgers.


Better academics, similar athletics, nice private school to make NU feel less lonely.

Outside of geography they are a better fit.

Rutgers was initially a option that was thrown out there more than a year ago.

They are still an option.

Just saying. Rice would be a better option than Rutgers.

OSU has maybe 2 TX kids but at least we could say that we'd play in Houston once in a while to those kids.

NJ kids will come to OSU regardless.

U of Chicago is still a Big Ten member.

And they bring nothing in terms of market. We already dominate the Chicagoland area :P


You jest, but I think adding the U of Toronto would be fascinating.

Big Ten football owning the #2 biggest city in North America? nice.

no i think it would be great idea. makes more sense than rutgers.
