Our fore-checking game was outstanding in the 3rd period.

Mrazek kept the Wings in the game during the first period, then the boys got there legs and played a really solid high speed game the rest of the way. The mid-ice zone coverage was really good tonight, well deserved win.

At times he was keeping us in it by doing some awesome headstands.

I agree with that. I was a little worried early-on, he was leaving some huge rebounds, but then he seemed to get his control going.

Did some exercises in periods 2-3. Even though I had the game on, I couldn't see much. It seemed we really buckled down into shutdown mode late in the game, which is VERY nice.

I might catch the replay in an hour.

Mraczek had himself a fine game tonight and deserved to be rewarded with a shutout.

It was also nice that he got one on the night NBCSN was pointing at his shaky GAA since January 7 before the game tonight...that's called, "How about a nice cup of STFU?"
