New album out in June. I didn't get too into their last album, so I'm excited for new Chili Peppers.

I used to loove the ol' chilis, and still dig some of their newer stuff, but Kiedis' singing style is starting to make all the songs sound the same. Just listened to this earlier this morning. I'll check it out, and prolly even own it at some point, cuz ima musack-whore. I just wish Kiedis would switch up his delivery now and then. I like it enough tho.

Flea can still get yer toe-tapping.

I wouldn't mind if he mixed up the vocal syle a bit myself. And yeah, Flea continues to be kickass...

Gave it a few listens throughout the day, and liked it better every time, so that's good. Also didn't realize this album's produced by danger mouse, which makes it their first not produced by Rick Ruben since before everyone knew the name Red Hot Chili Peppers. That helps pique my interest.

I lived in L.A. in the late 80's. I had never really heard of them until I spent a year down there.
