Recruiting Update- 1/17/15

RB Dexter Williams: Keep an eye on this recruit. #11 RB in the nation . #86 player in the country. he has been on ND board for a Long time. Big weekend for him and also his teammate that is coming Jalen Jones. For Williams its between ND, Louisville, An Texas AM. ND looking good.

RB- Ke Shawn Vaughn- ND wants one of these 2 RB's. He is #22 RB in the country. Its between ND, Purdue and West Virginia. ND is waiting for Williams. Vaughn is NDs back up I think.

Yes he is a ND lean and coaching staff expects him to pick ND. They haven't gone after any other WRs

Looks like we will land Dexter Williams. Williams is a speedster. 4 star RB. This would be a great pick up.

Our top three backs may all be from FL...not too shaby Alford.

This kid is fast, hits and excels through the hole really quick. If we land him I could see him returning kicks for us next year.

- ESB (WR)
- Farrar (safety)
- One of either Williams or Vaughn (RB)

Yes I agree, I just don't get why he won't commit. Just make it public.

4 star RB Dexter Williams looks like he is about to pick ND. Kelly wants him to wait until Kelly meets his Dad. Most are saying he is a silent Commit now because he knows ND has 1 spot left at RB and he wants that spot. This is a great pick up for ND if it happens(90% chance here). Leave 10% for Texas AM but if he cancels his visit then you know he is all Irish.

Hopefully he cancels his visit to Texas A&M and picks Notre Dame. I don't care if they get the top RB in the country as long as they get another solid recruit at the position.

Right now Notre Dame have 8 players in Rivals top 250 with probably four or five other guys interested. They have 12 guys on Scouts top 300, with at lest five guys highly considering. 247sports has 9 players in the top 300, with at least 6 guys considering. Finally ESPN has 7 guys in their top 300 with at least 5 players considering. Obviously they can't take four or five more but it seems like they will end strong.

Yes wish him the best. Overall it really doesn't hurt this team. I would rather go with the receivers that played this year. I like our group. Good luck in the NFL.
