I don't think anyone really understands the moves Carolina is making. Gettlemen does but that's about it. cant wait to see this moneyball approach to our WRs *end sarcasm*

I understand why they moved Smitty, but I really wish there could have been a way for him to remain a Panther. His presence in the locker room is going to be severely missed.

I agree. We really do not know what we have with WRs yet and we are bound to draft one in the first two rounds.
You do not have to have big name receivers just productive ones.
I remember last year we were wringing our hands about not picking up any decent corners and then not drafting any. It worked out pretty good.

what makes you think that?

Because our number one receiver (Smith) last year had 64 catches for just 745 yards. Like it or not, he didn't produce at his wage level, and he'll he's not getting any younger. Lafell had 49 catches for 627 yards. I don't think that production will be that difficult to replace.
