How many wins does your team have over teams that are currently ranked.

South Carolina sits at 2 ranked wins with wins over Georgia and ECU. Im not sure anyone in the nation has faced as many teams that are ranked now as we have. Texas A&M, Georgia, and ECU are all ranked and SC has already faced them all at this point.

There is quite a debate raging about the "quality" of wins over "currently" ranked teams.

I've heard some say it doesn't mean squat, the final ranking is all that matters.

I think it facilitates real-time discussion, which is a good thing.

Well, here is the thing. The currently ranked teams only matters CURRENTLY!!!! Meaning in the future they should not mean squat. Why do they have to be tied? That is the issue. Current rankings should only matter when they are current and should have no ties to future rankings.

ND hasn't played anybody good yet. So ND would have 0 wins against ranked teams.

That's my opinion as well. You use the best information available to you and allow yourself to revise your opinion as needed. One team might be ranked and actually suck. Another team might have started unranked and lost early, but actually been quite good.

It can be meaningful in week 8-9, but after week 3? Right now, it is ridiculous.
