Just hoping for some enjoyable games and do not mind a team that has been so downtrodden as KC doing well but of course I will be rooting for our Rangers.
Cotts will be staying with the Rangers according to Heyman. No trade.
All seems a little strange/confusingESPNDallas acts as if the Rangers could still deal Cotts by Friday. Maybe Heyman knows that the team that claimed him really doesn't want him and ESPNDallas doesn't.

I'm assuming they lowballed JD and he didn't like it. I just don't see why we're keeping players that we don't need right now. Maybe we can sign him to a cheap extension. I'm sure he wants to see what he can get on the market though.
Not too crazy to hear these headlines out on MLBTR.
Astros Could Still Reach Deal With Brady Aiken
One report said that an AL central team claimed him to block the other. Could have been the Indians Royals or Tigers.
Maybe the 3rd Ranger pitcher in less than a season will be the charm for them. It certainly wasn't anything close to magic with the first 2.
That's a good thing.... keeps them from automatically getting the 2nd pick next year
I know I don't want anything to do with Aiken with that ligament the way it is
I don't think anyone actually wanted Cotts. They just put a claim on him so their rivals couldn't.

Our BP competition for 2015 is going to be intense.
Right now I see West, Mendez, Feliz, Ogando, Klein, Tolleson, Figueroa, Scheppers, Knebel, Poreda, Ortiz with a chance to earn a spot. And I know I'm probably missing more than one for consideration. And that's not counting the what ifs of offering Baker/Cotts chances to come back.
But Cotts is making over $2.2 mil this season. Will he come cheaper than this? Does he warrant this type of commitment for 1 more year?
