It was a heart breaker the night the White Sox outbid us for him.
I liked Mitch and his defense was great and offset a weaker offense although he had a few good moments at bat.I was upset because it meant we would see more of Mitch Moreland in the lineup.
I see that he’s had success with the Red Sox and I’m happy for him, but it seemed to be evident early on in his tenure here that he wasn’t going to be a fit. JD kept running him back out there and giving him chances. I think Mitch benefitted from several injuries which led to inconclusive results and it made the front office think “ one more chance” that seemingly happened 2 or 3 years in a row.
