And there's your 4+ runs against Lincecum. Now 9 starts in a row where he's allowed over 4 runs and 8th start this season where he didn't even last into the 6th inning.

He actually did pitch in the sixth.

Looks like they might try to stretch Ross out here a little in case Ogando can't make his next start. Smart call. He would be my pick for a spot start at this point. Oswalt is at least 10 days out from being ready to join the club. I'll feel better once we get at least one starter back.

I never said he sucked or anything, I just said Adams should be closing. I take that back.

I know you didn't. You said you thought he was good, but not good enough to be closing. That's fine, but right now he may be the best closer in baseball.

The questions about Nathan were legit, he was a lights out closer coming back from TJ surgery, he had a lousy 1st half and was solid in the 2nd half, but he's old and might have been due for regression simply due to that factor

Then he gave up the walk off homer and then blew that save in short order, and also looked shaky at times

Since then he's been awesome, I think the Rangers overpaid for him based on where he was when he got that contract, but at least now it looks on the money

As usual in JD and Nolan I trust.

Yeah, I meant to say he didn't last 6 innings, not that he didn't last into the 6th.

Well not a walkoff homer but a leadoff go ahead homer. He then blew the save against the Mariners. Was not a good start for sure.
