Ross is just as bad as the offense, he's either pretty good or totally shits the bed. WTF?

Ross is doing exactly what I thought he'd do. He's a start to start, what you see is what you get guy.

Happens a lot guys who've missed more than a few months. One start looks good, next one is awful, o

Ross seems to exist at the extreme of either end. Saw him on the 16th of June, and he didn't give up a hit till about the 5th or 6th. Then you have last night, and he gives up 6 runs before recording an out.

Ian Kinsler, Detroit Tigers

Before the Dodgers traded for Logan Forsythe, they had conversations with Detroit about Kinsler, who hit .288 in 2016 with 117 runs and 61 extra-base hits, but L.A. found the price too high for its liking. Kinsler turned 35 last month, and his numbers have dropped, with his OPS dipping more than 100 points. Kinsler has an option for $12 million for 2018, with a $5 million buyout. Not only is the market mostly free of demand for a second baseman, but Detroit probably wouldn’t get inspiring offers anyway.

This from Buster Olney on guys who's trade value has fallen off a cliff.

It is too late Adrian. You guys have shown all season long, as well as last October, that JD needs to sell.

This team probably has another extended winning streak in them, but I hope it doesn't happen this month.

I know the players believe they are contenders. Time to prove it. Getting blown out 12-1 by a shitty team is not that.

They're supposed too. And that's the nature of that beast.

But the GM has to stay above the fray and make some tough, although practical, decisions.

I'm not a fan of the persistent, page click-hungry sports media needing to ask the team leader what he thinks.

Getting blown out is no big deal, regardless of how good or bad the other team is.

But last night was our 28th game this season of scoring or fewer runs. That's a recipe for a losing season.

Me either. In fact, speaking of "page click hungry" Banister was on the Fan this morning and they asked him what he thinks about being a seller or buyer at the deadline.

Good heavens guys. Like Banny or not, that's not a fair question, nor is it one he can honestly answer with anything other than baseball babble.

They really needed to have a good series in Baltimore and Tampa bay to convince people. I think they have to sweep the rest of the road trip or it's done. Sell sell sell.

JD's cat and mouse game is not fooling anyone. He knows more than we that he needs to sell. Probably just made myself look stupid but he has to know.......doesn't he?:2cents:

Behind Darvish for best available rental is probably Cahill. It's time to re-stock the farm. I highly doubt we re-sign him anyways. I have a bad feeling he's going to still be in the AL West though.

Darvish?

If so pray that he goes to Seattle. They are the only team in the AL west that I don't hate.
