He didn't play at all last year, he was already retired in most people's minds.

Actually, Kelso was the starting FS.

Someone I've worked for lives in the same part of town as some of the players; Kelso used to be his neighbor.
This guy didn't follow football at all, and was talking to Kelso during some sort of school function that parents were at.
He asked him:
"What do you do for a living?" "I'm a pro football player."
"Who do you play for?"

The funniest part about that was at the time Kelso was getting a lot of negative press on a pretty regular basis.
