Probably the most astonishing fact: The Patriots never won 12 games in a season before Brady, and he has averaged that for his career!

They weren't going to draft him early enough. They had Bledsoe and were not aware how close to the cliff his career was. They would not have used an early round pick on a position that was not of need.

Let's face it. If he had started four years at Michigan nobody still would have known how good he was going to be.

Saw a program about three years ago where they had recorded about 15-20 teams in their War Rooms during the 1999 draft. The clips started in the fourth round of the draft.

Brady's name came up and here are some of the comments.....

"Slow as mud"
"Feet need a day to move"
"Can't get out of a pocket"
"Has no arm strength"
"Doesn't have a muscle in his entire body"
"Waste of a pick"
"Will never be able to play a complete game"

The funniest thing is that the Jets fired their head scout because he got so pissed during the 1999 draft. He had told the Jets to pick Brady in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th round and called the GM an idiot. The GM fired him when the draft was over. Now the question..........Where are they now?????

Parcells was the GM. Jesse Kaye, the scout being referred to, is a consultant for the Jets. Brady was in the 2000 draft.
