I will have to say I am happy he is back... hopefully under reasonable terms.

Neal yesterday and Quarless today... I like having both back. Neals terms were fairly good IMO... $8M / 2 years if he hits $1.5M in bonuses.

Im very happy to have both Neal and Quarless back in the fold. I think Quarless is going to improve, especially now that he is completely back from his injury.

Neal showed what he is capable of this year since he was healthy and he is extremely versitile.

Both are solid in their roles, but I don't think bringing either back closes the door on upgrading the position.

Agreed

I think this will cover the minimum so we are covered. Anything on top of this is icing.

I think we should still address DL/LB in free agency and TE in the draft.

I heard Q's deal was around 3 mil for 2 years with a few incentives for workouts and 16 game roster bonuses, etc

This is good. I wasn't convinced he was going to be a factor going into last year coming off that injury and never really showing exceptional hands before. He was just kind of a Finley in physical stature and had average hands. But he really came on last year and played well. Better than before and I think he'll continue to get better. I wasn't excited for this guy's future before, I am now :) Good signing I think.

I think they have re-signed the right guys so far

well, we got Raji back today. He signed his 1 year prove it deal for 4 million. A move back to NT might do him some good.

EDS went to Tampa as well for 4 years around 15 million. I hope Tretter is ready

That one stings, IMO. Not so much because he was a stud (he wasn't...he was an average to slightly above average starter) but because it leaves an unproven guy, making a position switch as the starter.

I think a center was probably a good bet to be drafted this year (for depth purposes) but now I'd say it's a real good bet.

It's possible a C gets drafted but I have a feeling that Tretter and Barclay will battle it out. The winner will start and the other will be the back up C/G

It's no secret I don't mind losing EDS. He is worth a minimum contract. He didn't deserve a raise. We could do worse than him at center, but it was obvious to me we needed to get better. I think we will get better at center just by making room for someone else. Not sorry to see him go at all.

Quarless had positioned himself very well before that devastating injury. He'd worked on his blocking until he was hands-down the top blocking TE on the team, and he has a similar size/speed ratio to Finley, but is not quite the same level of elusive athelete. Regardless, you're getting a top blocker and solid receiving TE who has some impressive measurables back in the fold - thank christ, because there's literally nothing of note behind him.
