Full PPR. 12 team standard scoring with bonus points for longerTD's.

I just picked up Dalton but their offense isn't on the field for extends plays, on pace for the fewest offensive plays.

Also have Doctson, Darkwa, ASJ, and Clay. Keep my line up how it is, or make some changes? I know a lot of eggs in one basket with the Charger players, but they got me 77 points this past week.

I'd keep it as is.
But I like rivers so I'm bias.

What kind of points do you get for long TD?
Or maybe I should ask, how many yards before the bonus kicks in?

Tough calls.

Dalton by a red hair.
Doctson. Not sure about Perine, especially in PPR on short rest with a finger "injury".

3 points for 40+ and 6 points for 50+ yard TD's, which is why I might be leaning toward Doctson over Perine.

Ran a simple query in ProFootball Reference for offensive TD over 40 yards. < LINK >
There were 90 such plays this season so far.

It was an eye-opener in the fact that some of the teams with the MOST longer TD are not the teams that you might expect.

KC has the most with 8 TD 40-yards or longer.
OAK is next with 7.
PHI is 3rd with 6.
TEN has 5.

Then there is CIN, HOU, IND, JAX, LAR, NE & WSH with 4.
LAC, MIN, NYJ, PIT & SF have 3.
ATL, MIA, NO & NYG have 2.
ARI, BAL, BUF, CAR, CHI, CLE, DAL, DET, GB & TB had 1.
Only DEN and SEA have zero.

My only problem is that I am in the rather big money league with a co-owner and he is of the notion that Doctson is only good for the lone, long score. I pointed out the 4 catches for 80 yards last week. Having a partner can be a hassle at times.

Thanks for all the input guys.

FYI: Did a reverse sort of the same long TD data.

The teams (or defenses) that have allowed these long TD:
  • HOU, NYG, OAK & PIT allowed 5.
  • IND, KC, LAC, NO & SEA allowed 4.
  • ARI, CIN, CLE, DEN, LAR, MIA, NE, NYJ, PHI, SF and WSH allowed 3.

Looks like I am keeping Doctson active according to those 2 surveys, seeing Washington plays the Giants. Things never always work out the same way, just looking at the numbers. Thanx again! !

I was going to say that I didn't trust Perine, but it looks like nobody else does either.

tough calls but by far the most consistent guys are in your lineup, stay with it, and if its wrong, it was the right call.........you give yourself the best chance to win..............unless of course your overmatched then take a swing

I made the decision to start Doctson and gave my partner in crime the duty of picking the QB between Dalton and Rivers. He chose Rivers, so I hope Doctson can produce.

He’s right on the cusp of being someone you want to start as a flex or maybe a WR2 since those guys are in short supply. Last two weeks been deciding between him and Marvin Jones, went Marvin which turned out good. However if Doctson produces this week, I may start him instead. Lions playing the Ravens, which isn’t a good match up for Marvin.

I know, that why I agonized all week about starting him. Geez I thought about grabbing R. Matthews, thought about grabbing Kupp, thought about starting Doctson. At the end decided to stick with Marvin, but he is streaky and about due for a clunker so another week of agonizing over what to do.

he is streaky, when hes on, hes a top 3 scoring receiver, hence my argument to start last season, but when hes off, dear god he stinks

Yeah and this week and next week I’m up against two of highest scoring teams in the league and both games could be a elimination game. My division is pure hell, I got all the high scoring teams in it. I’m sweating bullets.
