I hope he doesn't play. I would prefer we play it safe and hold him out until BC and Stanford. If we want to dress him because it's Senior Day, OK, but let him play one or two plays and then take him out.

I agree let him play the 1st series and then sit him and then maybe 1 series at the end so he can say bye to ND stadium.

I don't think its a big deal because I think he might be coming back.

Well I guess it depends on how the game is going, Notre Dame should thump Wake Forest but if they aren't beating them by much I'm guessing he'd be playing if he's healthy enough.

I just hope we at least win by 21. No close game here. We need to look good leading up to Stanford. Any close games against WF or BC we might lose some voters. We need to win and we need to win Big. Stanford any win is a good win. I love that we play them at the end. It can be a great signature win or a lose that ends a great season. At 10-2 we still make one of the big bowl games I would think.

Just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean you should. Give em a handful of carries for SR. Day. That's it.

does he need to play to win? No. Don't play him unless it is for a few carries because of senior day.

i don't understand all the worry about playing a guy who has BEEN CLEARED TO PLAY!
you think nd isn't cautious with their players?

if the man is ready to play ... play him!

we're favored by four touchdowns I the coaching staff was cautious I have no problem with that.

i don't have a problem with it either IF that's what the staff wants to do. it's all the hand-wringing here that baffles me. i just think that if they believe he's ready to play ... then play him.

I don't have a problem with him playing if he's been cleared. I mentioned that Adams is starting so he will most likely play in a limited basis.

Adams sets the longest rushing play from scrimmage record at ND stadium, after Prosise sets it earlier this year. Yeah, I don't think we're missing too much of a beat. Coaches decided to let the kid rest, nothing wrong with that.

Small bone of contention, wasn't Prosise just short of that record (someone else between Prosise and Adams)

Maybe I'm not sure. I almost think the other person's was the longest play in Notre Dame history but Prosise had the longest play at Notre Dame Stadium.

I just know when Prosise ran the 91 yarder earlier in the season they said it was the longest run in ND Stadium history, so the key-word there is ND Stadium, that's not to say that someone ran a longer run somewhere else, until today.

Does it in any way detract from the idea that Prosise wasn't needed for this game? Nope.

We could talk about what actually did detract from today's game, but I won't bother, I've eluded to it over many weeks.

I hope Prosise and Cage are ready to go. Looks like Onuwalu is done for reg. Season anyway (sprained MCL, MRI Sun.). Equanemeous St. Brown was also injured in practice and has a shoulder injury that Kelly suggested he would miss considerable time (guessing his season is done). We've had two straight seasons of shit luck with injuries. We're overdue from a break. I also think they need to seriously examine the state of their strength and conditioning program. These guys' ligaments are snapping like twigs. Need more stretching I think to compliment the weights.

PS Carlisle rolled his ankle too, no word yet on status, but that guy is made of glass. He's been hurt every year he's been here (and the 1.5 before he transferred).
