The talk all week will be the offenses, and for good reason. TCU just lit up Texas Tech for EIGHTY-FIVE points. WVU has been scoring consistently in the Mid-30's this season. Yet, secretly, both of these teams have amazing defensive schemes. I was at this game a couple years ago; it broke my heart. I remember the TCU crowd whooping it up in the corner of the endzone after the game. Don't think our boys have forgotten that. We won in their stadium last year; don't think that TCU has forgotten that, either.

I forsee a game where DEFENSE determines the winner. I am calling for an upset.

TCU looks a lot like us - but I think their offense has a few more weapons. They scare me more (just a little) than K St. If WV falls behind to TCU, all could be lost. We need to match them toe-to-toe and play mistake free football.

Going to vary slightly from my season prediction here... I'm sticking with WVU, but these two offenses should light up the scoreboard. I can see a shootout. TCU has the number 1 defense in the Big XII... So did Baylor when they came to town. True Blue, gameday in town, and every Mountaineer is going to be ready for this one!

After being somewhat flat against OSU, WVU comes out flying high and takes down the horned toads.

After watching the Mountaineers upclose in the OK St. game I was surprised there were no turnovers by WVU. Yes they fumbled a couple of times, but they recovered their own fumbles. If WVU can somehow keep this game, mistaken free, I believe WVU will win this one in a close one (44-41). Morgantown should be rocking with Game day coming to town. The crowd should be really crazy. Could be another couch burning night.

A guy I work with, who happens to be a Marshall fan, was telling me that Texas teams don't win much in WVa, I have not looked it up, and WVU did less than great at home against Texas teams the last two years. Ill take a sip of kool aid and say we win 41-35.

Cold, rainy weather and a good running game will be just what the doctor prescribed for a high scoring offense traveling from Texas. WVU controls the clock and thus wins the game 23-19.

Forecast for Saturday: 90% chance of rain. High - 44, Low - 34

I think 2 factors will decide this contest - TURNOVERS and Field Position. Win those 2 areas of the game and a win should follow.

WV will run, run, run the ball. Will throw when they need to (unless the rain is not as much of a factor as predicted). If they protect the ball - they win. WV 21 - TCU 16

It is hard to win on the road… especially in this league. Briles commented that he felt the atmosphere in Mylan Puskar affected his team's performance.

TCU has not played out of the state. It is perceived to be a tough travel from TX to Motown.

WVU has faced much better defenses than TCU's, and had some success. WVU has yet to play its best game on all 3 sides of the ball.

I believe WVU will be focused and amped for TCU. I think this game will send a message to the Big 12 and to the country.

We will see the Mountaineers play with their hair on fire. The crowd will give this team the energy they need to FINISH.

I would not be surprised to see WVU blow 'em out on Saturday. Just like my boy Slaton stated…

TCU dominates both sides of the ball!

TCU 52 WVU 20

Can't slow down this offense and Patterson will come up with defensive scheme to slow our offense down

What a GREAT high stakes rival game we have here boys! Playoff implications, Big12 title implications, Hiesman candidates on both teams, ESPN GAMEDAY in town (BTW remember when GAMEDAY came in for the Pitt game?)
Baylor game? Yes, fantastic rivalry as well but this one is special, two teams that were not too long ago on the outside of major CFB looking in.
These games have been awesome, overtime games and the road team always getting the wi...

NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND!!

Nasty nasty nasty day in Morgantown Saturday. Bring the long undies, heaters and if conditions are similar to what I was in this morning, a snow shovel!

I think the average for us is 34-33 in favor of WVU so, here goes nothin,

WVU 34
TCU 33

BTW, this series deserves a title or name and a trophy to pass back n forth IMO.
