Game Thread: Pre-season Game 2 vs Jets

Not sure what this one will tell us. The Jets have no viable starters so I would hope we are up a couple scores by half time. After that it will be like game 1 where score wont matter.

Should be a little more to talk about performance wise though.

SAT 7:30pm EST. Not nationally televised. Might be something local. Not sure if they blackout preseason games. I will try to see when NFL network is showing it. I think I saw once at 4AM EST next week sometime. Might have to DVR it if I cant find it online.

Not bad. D-line is better and deeper than I thought. O-line still not run blocking well. RBs not reading the blocks either.

Pretty lackluster performance overall though. The Jets may be the worst team in the league. Defense did what was expected but should have had 2 turnovers. Offense was not great granted the Jets defense is still pretty good.

Cornelius Washington played decent even ignoring the unblocked play. Our rookie DEs surprisingly didnt play as well as last week. Our new DTs both looked very good. I think I may have underestimated Jordan Hill. TJ Jones is probably headed for IR (Hammy) or will get cut. He got outplayed by others at both WR and KR. We need to keep Keyshawn anyway as he is our only backup outside WR. AA seems to not have lost any mobility from his injury.

Jet's have an under rated defense though with a top 5 D-line. I wasn't surprised that they couldn't run the ball. Even though we didn't have Decker, it was a bit discouraging that we couldn't get ANYTHING going on the ground with how much dough we spent on the right side.

A-Shawn looks pretty beastly this year. Glad he has developed next to Ngata.

Yes, he played with the starters for Ziggy and was not in long last night so he did not have the impact he had in game 1.
