With Niners claiming Tolzein off of waivers, there is really no need to have another QB on the PS. The third string QB can also double as the scout team QB giving him more reps in practice instead of having another guy taking those reps away

Nope. Dropped with the addition of Tolzien. Presumably Kristick will be added.

He was a late pick and all, but his stock really must have plummetted the last couple weeks.

Im really surprised we didn't keep Johnson. I could be wrong but I don't believe Hastings caught a single pass this pre season

I'm not surprised we didn't keep him. His struggles where obvious. I know he is a rookie and we should give him a chance, we knew he would need time, but he needs to be developed on the practice squad. I don't think any other team will touch him based off what he showed. This way he remains a part of our team, while we fill the roster space with better talent.

I read scout reports and articles that said he is going to take time to show his potential. so I'm willing to give him time, but I think it's an easy risk to take.
