12-team, H2H scoring, 10-player keeper league. I am about to be 8-1 with a pretty solid squad. Here is my lineup:
C-Sal Perez
1B-Goldschmidt
2B-Kipnis
3B-Zimmerman
SS-Castro
OF-Trout
OF-Harper
OF-Domonic Brown
Util-Trumbo(OF/1B)
Bench-Nick Franklin, Reddick(just grabbed off waivers while Harper is on DL)
SP's-Harvey, Corbin, Gio, Ryu, Zimmerman, Cahill, Medlen, Gausman, Vargas, Chatwood, McCarthy(DL), and a couple others that I stream in and out per matchups/Sunday starts.
RP-Soriano, Parnell, Jim Johnson
My buddy is basically building a team for the future as his record is 1-7, bout to be 1-8. He has a ton of huge prospects/minor leaguers that haven't even sniffed the majors yet. But he does have some nice quality players. He was pissed that i got Trout with the 2nd pick then was able to grab Harper at the bottom of the 2nd round(he missed the first 4 rounds of draft as he really wanted Harper).
He has been trying to pry him from me all year and he has finally made some interesting offers. Nothing is concrete but he's basically offering Kershaw and another player for Harper. I feel like I could ask for either Justin Upton or Jay Bruce along with Kershaw and he'd do it(he really loves Harper as much as I do). However, I really have a love for Harper as he is gonna be a star for a long long time, and he and Trout manning my OF slots just is a tremendous advantage.
But is this deal something too good to pass up? Or is my team just fine the way it is? I like making trades and moving guys, but if it ain't broke, why try to fix it eh? I'm on the fence so some thoughts would be appreciated.
