This thread is for all game threads, articles, videos, comments, etc. on the Portland Trailblazers at Houston Rockets series. I doubt there will be enough discussion in any one game to warrant individual games. This website has a timestamp, so it'll be easy to tell what game we're talking about.

I liked the Lin drives, Aldridge scores, Garcia rebound, Beverly intensity, and Portland win.

Beverly is annoying. That's all I've got to say right now. His attitude, albeit positive, is hard to watch for me. I prefer just make the damn basket and get back to work. Foul and raise you hand and get back to work. None of the stupid gang (?) signs - no, I am not suggesting he is in a gang. I'm just talking about the sideways peace signs with both arms - whatever that is. The skipping and head bobbing made me happy that Portland won.

I don't like Houston because they are the team that, when up by 48-50 points, went for three when they could have run the clock out. I know, don't like it? Then, don't get down by 48-50 points. But still, it was fucking annoying to see them celebrating after every damn shot - and I'm not tat passionate. I wouldn't have minded just the shots, but man, just shut up and play. Be happy, but you should have seen it. Maturity. Jeremy Lin had to tell the guy who shot not to do that. It's like that guy who tried to get a triple double shooting on the wrong basket for a rebound.

How about Parsons? He's one of my favorite non-Jazz players - though I can't tell you how good he is. He looks good to me, but you know more than I do on what is good and what is standard doing what you're given.

Parsons is a nice player. But yesterday he was annoying, because I was rooting for Portland to win. Between the Lin drives and Parsons drives, I'd rather like Lin more, and Parsons less (at least for this series).

I also haven't seen many Houston games the past two years, and when I do, they're either up by 40 or down by 40. And because they were regular season games, I didn't want to stay focused and watch. If it were the playoffs, I'd be more focused.

So I've only seen Houston in limited minutes. If Parsons has some big games in the playoffs, he will either make my favorites list, or annoying players list. Not sure which.

As for Beverly, I kind of like how he's the opposite of Hayward, in that he plays with intensity and you can see his impact when he's on the court. But, this is my first real time watching Beverly. It's possible after a few games, I'll get sick of him too. He's more of a "like" than "love", and is status is in flux.

I didn't watch much of the Houston series last year, didn't want to, I didn't think it was going to be good.

Also, if I'd known you were watching, we could have had a game thread. Especially being on a weekend, when I can watch live.

Weekdays will always be DVR days. And next weekend will probably be a DVR day too.

With babies, a toddler, and a wife, until the time of the game, I always assume that it's a DVR day. If we were to set up a game thread today, I would disappoint you. I would stand the board up most of the time. The best chances of getting a commitment from me would be if the Jazz were in the playoffs. I also am pretty committed to watching the Niners and the Chiefs on Sundays. That's because it's always on one day of the week. Sometimes different days than Sunday and sometimes they play on different days than each other, but they're limited. I can't imagine trying to justify 82 nights a year plus playoffs (live watching, DVR maybe). But if the Jazz were in the playoffs, I could do the playoff games.

Thanks.

How about some Jazz playoffs games, and 1 regular season game every year?

I didn't have any game threads with sakataters, or you. 0/82! Let's try for one? :)

A Saturday would probably be the best. Or Sunday evening road game.

Maybe Friday night game.

Or whenever, I'll hope that whatever one game works, I can be there.

When Wright did that fake and dribble, I did not think he was going to make the shot. Faking is not his game, usually he's a catch and shoot guy.

But he made the shot! 89-81.

96-91 after a surge.

Still need to see better defense to really come back IMO. This run was more about Houston playing bad than Portland playing well. Portland just took advantage of some bad plays by Houston.

Batum misses a 3, gets a steal, calls a timeout.

Batum with a bunch of deflections, Daniels eventually gets it, and hits a 3.
