if not for her injuries and the loss of her sister, she would've already been there by now, I suspect

Please stop acting as though Serena's career was in the toilet before patrick came along. Maybe you should look back at Serena's accomplishments before he came into the picture. I notice on twitter Serena had to put a writer in his place about an article he wrote.
