This week-end, the F-1 boys are in Catalunya, Spain. It remains to be seen if the Mercs have solved their performance decrements that they began the year with as the Ferrari's and Red Bull have apparently closed the gap. Let's see if Mercedes generates something new to widen the on-the-track performance gap again.

Ferrari continues to apply pressure as is Red Bull although the latter is having some driver issues that seems to cause them to end-up further back in the pack at the race end. Should be another great race.

Hey F1 fans, this race is the debut of F1 TV. There are two packages available. F1 TV Access, and F1 TV Pro.

They offer differing levels of service. Both include full session replays with each driver onboard if you want, team radio, selected telemetry and access to F1's archived races as well as a library of F1 documentaries. Pro adds the ability to choose team radio streams, watch each session live as well as get additional telemetry data.

Access is currently 24.29 for the year in the US. (Until May 31, then 29.99)
Pro is currently 89.99 for the year in the US. (99.99 after May 31)

There were some streaming issues with pro earlier today for FP2, but the replay is working fine and is full 1080P. You can watch in a browser or the F1 app. Coverage is Sky F1 if you choose English as the language.

The Archives are starting to fill in. A little thin right now. There are documentaries on some of the greats like Hill, Moss, Lauda, Senna, Prost, Mansell, etc. F1 has said that the archives will steadily grow, and should eventually encompass every race ever run. The archives say "full race" and they mean it. For example the 2011 Canadian GP replay is 4 hours long, and contains the full red flag period. As I said, all seasons are not filled in yet, but there are placeholders for every season back to 1955. Oldest race I saw was 1999 as of this morning.

I got the Access package. I usually watch races on replay anyway, so for me it's great. It's basically paying 2 bucks a month for access to the full archive, and not having to deal with torrenting sessions when my DVR flakes out on ESPN.

The Mercs have returned by taking the front row. Let's hope they don't wreck each other and give this race to the Ferrari's right behind them.

Smashing win and dominance by the Mercs as they take one-two on the podium. Hamilton takes it followed by Bottas. Verstappen has a nice run for Red Bull for third followed by Vettel who just had a crappy week-end all around.

Very good news for Haas as Magnussen finished sixth. Good to see that result.
