This week-end the F-1 Parade heads to Japan. Let's see if the Ferrari and Red Bull can continue to make in-roads into the Silver arrow dominance or whether Hamilton and Rosberg took last week-end off.

With the top speed/low downforce setups you usually run at Suzuka, it's hard to think Merc won't bounce back.

Then again, Lewis was saying he's not real confident in the new Merc power unit. Suzuka is always an adventure!

Kvyat is fastest in a rain-soaked practice but he was fastest last week and ended up finishing way down. Rosberg and is second and Hamilton third. Looks like the Silver Arrows have decided to return this week at least for practice.

Crazy crash by Kbyat brings Q3 to a close with Nico .074 up on Lewis who locked 'em up on his fast lap. Bottas half a second back in third.

I am going to go
HAM
ROS
VET

Because the last time I picked Bottas to podium, his team went and fitted whatever tires were laying around.

Way to go forty_three. Nice call. Hamilton takes it followed by Rosberg and Vettel for third. On we go.

I missed the race because my VCR (ancient tech; I know!) F@*ked up (AGAIN!). - Was it as boring as the results seem to show?

Here's how we did:

Retroram52, forty_three & FortySix&2: 10 points each, for getting the whole podium right.
Hank Kingsley: 7 points, for picking Hamilton to win & Vettel for third.
IndyAndy: 6 points, for picking Hamilton to win & getting Vettel out of position.

Season Totals So Far:

IndyAndy: 98
Retroram52: 93
forty_three: 83
Hank KIngsley: 65
FortySix&2: 20 points

Next Up: Sochi, in two weeks. :)

I guess all three of us get to thank a weird call by Ferrari, huh? "Should I pull out on Rosberg" "No, you're good".

oooops.

Boring in the top 5, but there were some major scraps in the middle of the field. Best race of the day was Kvyat Vs Sauber. Kvyat was not allowed to use ERS and he went after Ericsson for a good 6 laps until he finally got by.

Verstappen had a fun day too, carving up the field and passing in places he shouldn't have been even trying to pass.

So, I wonder if Alonso is going to get any flack for calling the Honda Engine a "GP2 Engine" on Honda's home track?
