I think Julio may need to be in this conversation. Not saying to take him, but I would take him over some of the names being thrown around. And I would have Mixon a lot higher on my list, if he were to become available.

Either way, toss Hopkins back in the pot. If you don't like what's there when you end up picking, you should be able to get him back.

Remember in this scenario 9 teams have players already so basically this is overall player #10 in a true ranking system...
Good point.
The rankings you copied were for standard leagues. Since yours is PPR, Henry will be ranked lower.

I keep forgetting that...I just copied that bc it was convenient and such a nice chart lol. Some of those RB’s would be ranked lower and still WR’s I like would be available. Honestly, if Julio or Adams is there might just take one of them.

According to this league, these would be the rankings (I started with guys I know wouldn’t be keepers)...

Really Hopkins is right behind Hill. He’s ahead of Julio and Adams...interesting

In your op you mentioned starting 2 WR and if you started with any combo of Julio, Adams and Hopkins, you would not have to worry about that position the rest of the season.

For me, Cook might be tough to pass up.

SJ, to be honest, i am really torn here. I do like Cook in this spot. And i know other RB are being drafted with a lot of confidence as well, and it may seem that you are throwing away a good shot at landing them (if you like them). But your first 2 picks really need to be the centerpieces of your team.

Those who know me on this board will tell you that i tend to look too conservatively at some players, but a lot of these late first round guys - tho the rumor is that they have a high ceilning - do come with some risk.

Yeah if I got a top in the draft order that would be possible but I hate not drafting a RB early

I might consider taking Adams, Hill or Julio then depending on where I am in the draft order looking at RB BUT you bring up a good point. Cook could very well be worthy of that “1st round pick” and there will still be a good amount of elite WR’s there in the 2nd round (official 1st rd).

I like Cook more than Henry, by a good amount

All the players highlighted would be available in this scenario.

Worst case I get the 3rd pick and I get to choose from highlighted players in that unofficial 1st round. Then the 2nd round starts the real draft order.
I usually like to go RB early, so I think I would go with either J. Jacobs or A. Jones. Once round 2 comes around, you should still be a good spot to grab a great WR.

Not a huge Hopkins fan, but i am not buying the argument that the Cardinals trade hurts his value.

Hopkins had his 2nd best season when Hoyer/Mallet/Yates/Weeden targeted him in 2015. Not exactly tier 1 QB.
Hopkins was just as elite with the rotation of Schaub, Keenum, Fitzpatrick, Osweiler and Savage staring him down.
His numbers were no different once Hopkins took over.

To loosely quote Forrest Gump, "elite is as elite does."
He's a WR that changed teams (strike 1) and went to a squad that won't force-feed him targets (strike 2) during an offseason with limited interaction (strike 3). He's still a great player, but he's a back-end round 2 pick imo.

I'm taking Henry, Sanders, Jacobs, CEH, Hill, Adams, Julio, and maybe even Godwin over Hopkins this year. I'd say definitely don't keep anyone.

So my draft starts in less than an hour. Turns out 4-5 people didnt select keepers but I get the 2nd choice. Somehow Zeke is OTB lol but I wont get him.

these are my choices:

CEH
Mixon
Jacobs
Sanders
Drake

Probably going with Mixon...

All I know is I am loading up on RB’s that are falling, just in case Drake is a bust/injury.

I like Kittle in the 3rd a lot more than the 2nd (where he's been going in my drafts)

I think Kittle went right before. Just took Drake so I’m fine with him in the 3rd.

mixon
Gordon
Drake
Mostert

Those are my top 4 RB’s. Will post team later. There was a TE and QB run so not too happy overall
