There are number of FA pitchers that could easily elevate our lame bullpen and I know for a fact that Joe is going to address that issue before spring training.
Someone from the MetsWho are you referring to? I can't find any news.
Awesome, they just traded for a 37 year old hitter. Ugh
David Wright? I knew we'd end up with him eventually!Someone from the Mets
So for the next 3-5 years they are going to have to buy players and with a limited cap. Good luck
Cap limits, questionable contracts and lack of a productive minor league system. Why is it limited?

Right now they are $6M below the cap limit but yes at the end of next season they have some cap relief. Relief because of bad contracts coming off (Arrieta). Sure the cap is always increased but that doesn’t rectify a perfectly bad FO. 13 year contracts are not wise and although a current trend it is my opinion that they will prove a poor choice.
That’s my opinion.
That is a great idea. The Rays won 90 and 96 games the last 2 years with no money. Then again, maybe it's easier to run a team without having to worry about satisfying a bunch of fans. The lack of financial flexibility is a symptom of poor drafting and poor player development.
But, we did draft Nola, Hoskins, Kingery, and Haseley.
And we did have enough pieces to trade for Segura and Realmuto.
McCutchen, Harper, and Didi were FA.
If we want to spend stupid money, we should spend $10M and pry away whoever is making draft selections for the Rays, Padres, and Braves minor league systems....
