The Phillies are considering signing Madson. He has not pitched for 2 years, but has recently had some private tryouts. He could be a small risk signing at around one million a year plus incentives. Also, they could send him to the minors to get him back in tune. Any thoughts/

i really hope so. i made a post about him towards the end of last year. he still has plenty of time left at age 33 and is well rested. if he could return and be anywhere close to his previous level, he could even force papelbon out quicker.

He would be worth a look at a low cost. If he can get back to where he once was it would turn into a great bargain. If he doesn't, then move on.
