The Phillies finally added a good Pitcher. Strahm, lhp signed with the Phillies to be a starting rotation pitcher. He will even do closing duties. Like Turner, he gave-up more money to come to Philadelphia to get a ring. Interesting indeed

And Dombrowski might have landed a decent closer for a change. Craig Kimbrel from the Dodgers.

I don't know about this. He is 34 but maybe he's got a bunch of solid relief work still left. I enjoyed watching him when he was with Atlanta facing the Phillies with his raised arm or chicken wing stance on the mound. Philly fans loved it, mocking him behind the plate. Now, as a Philly though I guess fans won't do it.

I hope it isn't more dumpster diving, jvett. I don't know why Dombrowski always seems to to go diving with Pitchers. Can't figure it for the life of me!

Kimbrel was lights out with Atlanta in his first five years with a really low ERA under 2.00. It began increasing with Boston (knee surgery, 2016) and then ballooned to over 5.00 for his three years with the Cubs (sore arm in 2019). 3.75 this year with LA but removed from closer role in September after he blew some saves. Hope the guy does well here with his 14 years experience.

A little better addition. Help improve our bevy of douchebag Pitchers, maybe.

Don't know how a good a trade this will be until into the season. I wonder when the Phillies are going to dump more of their douchebag pitchers like Bellatti.

Soto looks like he could be pretty decent. Maton was a pretty useful utility guy and vierling played a lot in the outfield so I wonder if they are planning to pick up a role player or two.
