Yeah I was going to say it might be force of habit...it is kind of addictive during bball season

I know when I was in the student side of the end zone I would clap as well as yell to make more noise...maybe some of them are just clapping?

I remember when Okie State students would hold up Playboy centerfolds for the visiting teams during freethrows at their home basketball games....

A basketball player was telling me that it actually helped him to make his free throws. With everyone waving and moving, the only thing that appeared stationary was the basket. As a result the only thing not moving was the basket and it's clarity became more apparent.
