I haven't seen it in print, but they were saying they could tranfer in-conference on ESPN today.

Also I still have not seen anything where the BiG 10 has waived the in-conference transfer rules..

I think they would be silly not too...

Yes it's gonna hurt Penn State more..

But not lifting the in-conference one year sit down will cause top penn state talent that wants to leave to go to different conferences... instead of staying in the Big

Emmert and Erikson's stories have been conflicting on that

Story on ESPN has Emmert backing up that "a core of NCAA presidents wanted to stop PSU football for four years"

This option is MUCH better than 4 years of death.

The Penn State players are now going to media days, but Silas Redd has been replaced by Michael Mauti. This, combined with sources saying he was leaning towards going to USC, would seem to be a heavy indication that he will be suiting up as a Trojan this year.

ESPN: Silas Redd meeting with USC coach Lane Kiffin, who once complained about coaches trying to recruit his players when USC was sanctioned.

Going to have to cut someone to make room. That's pretty slimy and if I were one of those USC players it would tell me a lot about how much I really mean to Mr. Kiffin.

I'm sure Redd's teammates that stood out there and declared their allegiance to PSU must be like, "WTF man"

Hard to say. The NCAA has done their best to create dissention amongst the team. Hard not to take them up on the offer for a free exodus.

Redd will probably open the door for others who are sitting on the fence not wanting to be the 'first' to betray their team-mates.
