Barkley was a once in a decade talent for that school. He was over 50% of their entire offense last year. While they have a really nice QB, they aren’t gonna be anywhere near putting up the ground game numbers they had last year with him gone.
They could make the Rose, but Mich and Wisky could easily make it there as well. Depends how the big10 shakes out and who plays in their conf championship game and outcome.
I've watched him fairly closely as my son just graduated from there this spring and I followed Penn State because he was there. He's got a strong arm and a fairly solid deep ball, but is also prone to forcing plays. Barkley really helped sort of mask some of his flaws and of course made his play action way more effective. They are really struggling to find balance after his exit. I don't see them winning the big games and staying in the top 25.I really don't see what people see in their QB. He seems to throw it up for grabs in critical situations.

He’s scrappy and makes plays. Also a mega douche with his homerun swing celebration.
Who cares. Can they make a pylon exception is what we all need to know. Get your shit together Larry.
@OregonDucks
Thoughts?
See @Olyduck , that's a 7/7 joke right there.What I want to know is whether or not it would have been targeting if Gustin had hit the QB with the pylon?
Sure. Why not. Straight up, one week?I know you won't accept @nddulac (at least I don't think you have in the past), offering an Avi bet again this year if you want.
Larry Scott is an idiot. Even the most homer of homer USC fans knows that was a targeting call and exhibit AAA of why he needs to be fired. Not even an I'm sorry your quarterback got concussed?
Jesus, that would be “targeting” before targeting was even a thing. It’s been illegal to lead with the crown of the helmet since at least the 80s. Larry’s even dumber than we all though if he’s defending that not being called.
If it's the play I'm thinking of, I agree. I remember thinking "that could have cost us the game".
