Are you expecting Clemson to fall out before the SCAR game?

We are also at disadvantage due to having 6 ranked teams...we only have 19 possible OOC ranked opponents. The Pac-12 has 22 and the B1G has 21. Guess we play more in-conference ranked opponents too, no wonder we schedule so many FCS schools.

Damn JD! You must have some of that ESP sixth sense. Yeah, we hosted a 4-A Division 1 playoff game here last night and I went to it with a couple of friends Hereford (NW of Lubbock) came from behind to beat Springtown (West of Fort Worth) 34-31. Real entertaining game and nice evening.

Here is a couple of interesting tidbits on the two mascots from the teams that played last night.

1. We have a couple of towns Northwest of Lubbock that aren't too far apart...named Hereford and Whiteface. Hereford's mascot is the Whitefaces and Whiteface's mascot is the Herefords!
2. And Springtown's mascot is the Porcupines! Not shit, Porcupines!

Simple W/L records don't really mean shit, but they're taken and utilized WAY more often than you know.

Alabama has played two teams that are currently ranked to date this season. Be careful when patting yourself on the back that hard.

Do these little scheduling tricks help the Pac-12 get housed by every P5 team they have played OOC but one, because it didn't seem to help them beat half a dozen G5 teams. Doesn't matter who you play if you don't win...might have something to do with their best team being ranked outside the top 10 and only having 3 ranked teams.
