Overrated Actors/Actresses

Actor- Jean Claude Van Damme and Steven Segal(tie)- They can't do the whole movie kicking ass unfortunately,and therein lies the problem.

Actress-Linda Hunt- just never seems to jump out in any lead roles IMO

Nailed it on the male side....have never heard of Linda Hunt. Probably my bad for be pretty isolationist on that though.

Yeah Clint Eastwood played in one of my all time favorites in the Good Bad and the Ugly. But Blondie was easily the most bland character in the movie. Lee Van Cleef aka Angeleyes was one of the most badass and underrated holywood actors back in the day. He is a great director though.


I ain't gonna lie but he was great in Adaptation as well. Then you look at the Wicker Man and face fucking palm.

Wicker Man was so bad it was awesome! Not the bees! How'd it get burned?

He didn't do Green Lantern any favors either. That movie had other problems, but maybe if it had a lead actor with some personality it would've helped.

I have looked over all the comments and havent seen the name Ryan Reynolds. Holy shit I cannot stand that guy. Other than Van Wilder he has done shit. Ruined Blade 3. I haven't seen Deadpool yet and he is the reason why. Jesse Eisenberg is another I can't stand.

Actress: Not an fan of Melissa McCarthy. She was good in Bridesmaids but that was it (really awful in Ghostbusters).

Agreed....I saw that movie the other night after originally seeing it in theaters years ago, and I forgot how incredible Cruise was in that movie.

Some have probably seen my tirade about Johnny Depp in other threads. Needless to say, who do you think are overrated or undeserving of the hype, acclaim, or even the money they earn/ budget they get for movies.


Another one I would drop out there would be Will Smith. Very charismatic and likeable; he used to be a pretty decent actor, but my goodness has he taken a turn. His best movie is easily Enemy of the State in my opinion.

I agree. I like Ryan Reynold and I think he's funny but he hasn't have good luck with movies except for Deadpool where he was great.

He's hasn't been in a good film for a while. That said, he was great in Men in Black, Independence day and even I Legend.

I like those movies and I think he is good in them, but that is about it in terms of my liking of Will Smith (other than Fresh Prince show of course), but Enemy of the State is by far my favorite of his though.
