Just because I think Oklahoma is the real deal, I'm hoping West Virginia beats them. That will make me feel better about how good Bama might be.

In all seriousness, Oklahoma better have their heads on straight going into the deep, dark hills of West Virginia this weekend, and I've said so from the start. I believe they will. That defense is light years ahead of the one that visited Morgantown two years ago. Based on what I've seen, I'll put them up against any in the country. Trickett isn't going to have much time to throw back there. He's good enough he can still complete some passes but he won't be getting nearly as much time as he has been. Also, Oklahoma is designed to defend offenses like WVU, and that's a big difference between them and Alabama. With all that said, if they aren't focused, WVU can make them pay. I would be surprised if they aren't focused. These guys look like they're on a mission and are playing with swagger I haven't seen in a long time.

Their defense is pretty suspect as Maryland showed, and while our best back is out, there's not much drop off from Ford to Ross and Perine. Both those guys are beasts, and I'm excited to finally have the type of punishing back teams like Alabama always seem to come up with. They have the ability to control the clock and the game. If we can do that, and not have to defend trickett's offense too much I see Oklahoma winning by 14.
