Silly Putty gets my vote. I received some as a stocking stuffer this past Christmas and spent hours just dicking around with it. Truly amazing stuff.

silly putty...no freaking contest. it's probably because of scarred memories of eating playdoh, but the biggest thing is that it got dried up so quickly, and i HATED it. the best though was the goop you can make at home out of corn starch. anyone else do that? it was the bomb!
