I am pretty shocked that he and Staley were forgotten for this long. All of you need to go listen to VDOP and Facelift today for penance. ;)

I considered Staley, but for pure frontman power (and vocal range for that matter) its hard to top Freddie
And, Layne would probably bring H to the parties, and I'd rather have midgets with trays of coke on their heads

I'd like to build another band around Lenny Breau on guitar.
Maybe Marvin Gaye on that vocals
Charlie Parker on sax
Chet Baker on trumpet
Django Reinhardt on 2nd guitar
Don't know of a drummer who would fit with that. Maybe Gene Krupa

Too many deceased rockers for me to make a band. Look at what we have for singers-Lennon, Mercury, Gaye, Staley, Ronnie Van Zant, Elvis. Guitarists-Hendrix, SRV, Rhoads, Duane Allman. Bassists include Entwistle, Burton, Keyboardists from the E street band, Grateful dead among others, Clarence Clemmons on sax. We should just have a Woodstock in heaven for all our deceased music hero's.
