I get that he is an absolutely brutal umpire but as a hitter you can’t take pitches just off the plate if he has been doing that all game. The first 3 calls like that should have been an indicator to start swinging the bat.

I rarely watch the Pirates but I was told yesterday that game finished in an hour and 58 minutes and I was wondering why it went by so fast.

Orioles TB game had an awful umpire last night too. If it was anywhere near the plate at all, they had to swing because it was going to be a strike. Makes for a boring game.

I usually complain about the bad calls I see during a game, but these calls were at least consistent on what would be called a ball or a strike, that it didn't seem as bad as other games. There was no real discrepancy in the amount of bad calls against one team vs. the other.
